Vilnius Book Fair is the largest annual book fair in the Baltic states and one of the key cultural events in Lithuania. Each year, this literary event dedicated to promoting and celebrating reading the programme of which comprises meetings with writers, book launches, discussions, film screenings, concerts, exhibitions, creative workshops and other cultural activities attracts over 65 000 visitors. Since it was first held in 2000, Vilnius Book Fair is organised by three institutions – the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre “Litexpo”, the Lithuanian Culture Institute and the Lithuanian Publishers Association. The Lithuanian Culture Institute coordinates and delivers the programme of over 550 cultural events of the fair.
The cultural programme of Vilnius Book Fair is partly funded by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania.
