-PhD Candidate, University of East Anglia (School of Literature, Drama and Creative Writing). Topic of thesis: translation of dialects, especially Šiauliai Lithuanian in Rimantas Kmita’s novel Pietinia Kronikas.
-MA (Linguistics) at Vilnius University, Kaunas Faculty. Topic of thesis – translation of Modernist poetry, analysis of the translation of T.S. Eliot’s The Waste Land into Lithuanian by Professor Emeritus Tomas Venclova.
-BA (English Philology) at Vilnius University and Middlesex University of London (Creative Writing and English Literature). Topic of thesis – a conversation between architecture and literature in F.S. Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby.

Darbinė veikla

Kotryna Garanasvili is a writer, translator and interpreter. She is currently a PhD Candidate and Associate Tutor at the University of East Anglia, teaching literature and literary translation. Supported by CHASE Arts and Humanities Research Council, her research focuses on the use of dialects and their translation. She is also involved in other AHRC-funded projects related to translation and creative writing. She is a winner of Emerging Translator Mentorship at National Centre for Writing and translation traineeships at EU Council in Brussels and European Parliament in Luxembourg.
