Little Fox is Rich

Triinu Laan, Ieva Babilaitė. Mažasis lapiukas yra turtingas (Little Fox is Rich), Vilnius: 700 eilučių, 2025. – 32 p.

A little fox lives with his family in the Green Forest, near his grandparents. One day, he moves with his parents to the Blue Forest. He slowly settles in his new home, attends school, makes friends, and learns the language of the new forest, but he does not want to forget his old one. After all, it’s the language his grandparents speak. If you can keep your native language in your mind, and you also know other languages, you are very rich indeed!

This book is the result of a collaboration between a talented Estonian author and a Lithuanian artist with a distinctive style. Through this story, the author explores themes that are highly relevant today: family, migration, and the relationship between grandparents and grandchildren.

The book Little Fox Is Rich grew out of the booklet Mažasis Rudis yra turtingas (Little Foxy Is Rich), created as a part of the project TINY BOOKS FROM BALTIC AUTHORS.
