This is a picture book by the young artist Brigita Butkevičiūtė, revolving around the story of a girl named Morta. One day, while playing outside, Morta notices that something has attached itself to her. It’s completely dark, almost black, and no matter how much she turns or tries to run away – it doesn’t leave her and keeps following her. What is it? Maybe there is no need to be afraid and she should try to get to know it instead? This is a fun story about a girl who tames her fear. The book’s narrative is very dynamic, visually striking, and expressive, inviting readers to look around more attentively, to notice others and themselves. This book is the most recent creative project of a graduate from the Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius Academy of Arts in Graphic Design, which has been turned into a book for young readers.
