This picture book about the gluttonous Bob was written by Italian author Alfredo Paniconi. The illustrations were created by the renowned Lithuanian artist Lina Itagaki (b. 1980), who is famous for her comic-style drawings. According to the illustrator, working on this book required stretching her imagination to the limit in order to fit a dentist, an ice cream truck, and even an airplane inside Bob! The book’s striking artistic language makes it appealing to both children and adults. Lina Itagaki has illustrated over ten books, many of which have won prestigious awards and been translated into multiple languages. She is frequently invited to participate in international projects, where many of her illustrated books were conceived.
