Neringa Vaitkutė (b. 1974) is a biology teacher. She made a successful debut in 2013 with a fantasy story that went on to become a trilogy. The author has published eleven books. Her works have won a number of literary awards, including the Lithuanian Section of IBBY award for the best book for children and young adults of 2018 and the Children’s Literature award given by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport.
