Studio from Lithuania has won the competition of the London Book Fair Baltic countries market focus slogan and logo design
The panel of professional judges composed of representatives from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, have picked the winner of the London Book Fair 2018 Baltic Countries Market Focus Slogan and Logo Design Competition!
The participant whose idea was agreed to be the most original and of the highest quality was the design, photography art direction studio “Dadada Studio” from Lithuania. The studio is currently working on developing the final design that will be presented to the public in October.
The competition was announced by The International Writers’ and Translators’ House, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia, together with the Estonian Publishers’ Association and the Lithuanian Culture Institute.
In 2018, the Baltic States are going to be the Market Focus countries of the London Book Fair, which entails creating and ensuring the central 600 sq. m. exhibition stand space in the London Book Fair hall, presentations and readings of translated books, representation of achievements in printing and publishing, and design, as well as organising relevant culture events in London and elsewhere in Britain. During the fair, other events such as showcases, concerts, theatre performances, etc., are expected.
A logo and a slogan that would serve as a mark of identity of the Baltic States during the events connected to the London Book Fair. The aim of this representation is to ensure the visibility and recognition of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania at an international level, drawing attention to the literary and publishing industries of the Baltic region.
