Table Cloth

A distinguishing feature is ordinarily that they must be ironed carefully and that it takes a long time, but a designer tablecloth is different: it is beautiful because of its very state of being wrinkled. The designer Martynas Kazimierėnas (born 1982) turned his attention to this well-known everyday object and created a very light tablecloth that needs no ironing. It can be used both indoors and at a picnic out of doors.

Martynas Kazimierėnas is a graduate of the Department of Design at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. In 2012, together with Eglė Opeikienė, he established March Design Studio; they create stylish and innovative design products. One of their first designs and one which popularized the ‘March’ brand was a water and heat resistant reflective badge Oreflector, awarded the Lithuanian Good Design prize in 2012. March Design Studio sells Lithuanian designed minimalist objects throughout the world – from France, Italy, the Scandinavian countries to Mexico and the United States. They have displays at international exhibitions and fairs. In 2014, March Design Studio represented Lithuania at the finals of the Creative Business Cup international competition in Copenhagen and finished among the sixteen most innovative businesses in the world.
