Rokas Jurkus

Rokas Jurkus (1999) is an active soloist, chamber musician, music producer and member of the Kaunas State Musical Theatre Orchestra. A graduate of the Lille Conservatoire of Music and Dance in France, he regularly performs in major Lithuanian and foreign concert halls and pursues creative projects. His latest project is his debut solo album Mėlyno Smėlio Piramidės (en. Blue Sand Pyramids), recorded in his bedroom and released in October 2023.
With the 150th anniversary of Lithuania’s most notable artist, Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, taking place this year, Rokas felt the urge to arrange the great composer’s music and rediscover it on the guitar. More than 20 arrangements came to life. Now, the duo is presenting it in Lithuania and across Europe.
